Age 65, Cleveland, Richmond Co., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 17, 2021, with his wife Edith at his side. Born in Zug, Switzerland, Leo was a son of Pia (Schuler) Betschart of Switzerland, and the late Leo Betschart. While living in Switzerland, Leo worked as a farmer, besides his job as a sales representative in agriculture. In June of 2011, he and his wife Edith, immigrated to Canada and settled in Cleveland. Since living here Leo had worked on a deer farm and for the last two years had worked with a land developer before his illness. Besides his mother, Leo is survived by his wife, Edith Betschart; daughters, Susan, Doris (Meini); sons, Leo Jr., Pascal, Dominik; grandchildren, Celina, Julian, Melanie and Alexandra and one due in three weeks, all of Switzerland; sisters, Monika, Pia; brothers, Robert, Peter, Edwin, all of Switzerland. Leo was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia in 2016.
